Richard Floyd Green, 89, of Belleview, passed away on January 20, 2026 in Belleview. Richard was born in Hamlet, Indiana to Floyd and Bessie Green on May 05, 1936. He attended Garden City High School in Michigan.
Richard worked at the Ypsilanti Ford plant in Michigan for 31 years, before moving to Belleview, Florida. He remained active with the local UAW. He attended the Belleview United Methodist Church and served as the Treasurer for several years and volunteered at the church thrift store as well.
Richard enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted husband to Bonnie.
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Bessie Green, and his brother Rodney Keith Green.
He is survived by his brother, Darryl (Debbie) Green, his sisters, Shannon Scarlett, and Patti Green, his daughter, Charlene Cappella, his sons, Richard F. Green II, David (Stacie) Green, and Greg (Sandy) Green; 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A visitation service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Belleview from 10:00AM-11:00AM. A funeral service will follow from 11:00AM-12:00PM.
