Jonathan (Jon) Walter Brooks was born in Longmont, Colorado on April 10, 1977 on a beautiful Easter morning to William Richard (Dick) Brooks and Arvella Sue (Jaynes) Brooks.  He was the 7th child in the family.

Jon lived in Longmont throughout his school years.  He played baseball and soccer when he was young.  He wrestled and played football in high school. He graduated from Longmont High School in 1995. As he grew, computers became his obsession. He worked on them throughout his high school years and beyond.

Jon was a good friend and had many adventures with them. His adventures included climbing satellite dishes, kayaking at night, and many more. He loved his family and was always there to support them in their personal and professional lives.

Jon was an avid science-fiction lover and could spend hours in conversation about the different books and movies that he loved.  He also enjoyed his collection of lightsabers and had enough to fight the Darkside and win.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents Dick (2022) and Sue Brooks (1990).

Jon is survived by his siblings Karen Voss (Randy), William (Brenda), Janet Jay (Robert), Cathleen Irons (Chuck), Stephen (Allison), David (Jessica), 20 nieces and nephews, and 21 grandnieces and grandnephews.
