Edward Harlow MacDonald, age 86, of West St. Paul, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026.

Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in the people he loved.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan; his brother, John; his sister, Faith; and his parents, Caroline and John.

Ed is survived by his daughters, Lynn MacDonald (Don Canales) and Karen Jonas (Robert); his son, Tom MacDonald (Christine); his cherished grandchildren, Craig, Ashley, Kylie, and Sydney; and sister Cynthia Morrissey. He shared a special bond with each of them, and his love will continue to live on through their memories.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Estates of Roseville and Health Partners Hospice for their compassion, kindness, and exceptional care during Ed’s final days.
