David Brian Rounds, age 65, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, at his home in Gilbert, Arizona, after a courageous journey with cancer, that ultimately led to Parkinson’s disease.
David was born on July 28, 1960, in Inglewood, California, to his parents, Larry J. Rounds and Sara Ann Cueves. He graduated from Granada Hills High School in 1978 and went on to build a long and dedicated career with FedEx, from which he retired.
David had a lifelong love of golf; always confident the next round would be his best. He shared a special bond with dogs, who instinctively gravitated toward his kind-hearted spirit. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with family, especially his grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life. Affectionately known as “Fun Dave,” he brought laughter, warmth, and an unmistakable presence wherever he went.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Bonnie Bowman Rounds; his children Allison (Byron), Julia (Richard), Ryan (Rebecca), and Dustin (Lahnie); his eight beloved grandchildren; his siblings Steven, Brad, Pam, and Bob; and his cherished dogs, Roscoe and Charlie.
A Celebration of Life service will be held the first week of March in Simi Valley, California. Additional details will be shared with family and friends.
Dave will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
