Gloria Pauley was born August 23, 1940 in Kansas and grew up on a farm in Woodston, KS with her parents, Gerald and Zelma Dunlap, and her older brother, Lee. Gloria attended school in Woodston and was the salutatorian of her graduating class. She was particularly close to her grandmother, Vera Hadley and had a special bond with her great-grandmother, Callie Amanda Harris (Haddie).
In 1958 she married her high school sweetheart, Gale Pauley, also of Woodston, and in 1962 moved to Southern California. Gloria always wanted to be a mother and was hoping for eight children! By 1970, she had four children, Melissa, Todd, Gregg and Scott. Gloria loved being a mother and was always proud of her children. Gloria was active in the PTA while her children were in school and enjoyed various activities with friends including bowling and Bunko.
In her later years, Gloria enjoyed reading and gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was happiest at home, where she felt most comfortable.
Gloria passed on Sunday, January 4th, 2026 and was visited by all of her children before she left us. She is survived by her four children, Melissa, Todd, Gregg and Scott, her nine grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren.
