Nicholas Esser, 94, passed away on January 20th , 2026 at his home in Colorado Springs, CO. Nicholas was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 15, 1931 to Archibald and Margaret Esser (nee Diderrich). He lived most of his life in his beloved Wisconsin, most recently in Hartford.

 

He met and married his most cherished Barbara A Esser in 1964. They raised a family and enjoyed 57 years together.

 

He is survived by his three children, Kristin (Andrew), Troy, and Marcella (Dan); his 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Yolanda Sanchez and numerous family members and friends.

 

Rosary and Latin Funeral Mass, February 11, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 626 Aspen Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80911.

 

Memorial Service at Krause Funeral Home 12:00PM, Monday, February 16, 2026 at 9000 W. Capitol Dr. Milwaukee, WI 53222 and a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee at 1:00PM, 7301 W. Nash St. following the Memorial Service.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill, 1525 Carmel Rd, Hubertus, WI 53033 or the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter at 450 Venard Road S, Abington Twp, PA 18411.
