Edgar Udaundo, age 49, of Marina, California, passed away on January 18, 2026.

Edgar was born in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, and later made his home in California, where he built a life rooted in hard work, generosity, and laughter.

Edgar was a devoted partner, loving father, and cherished son and brother. He is survived by his significant other, Jenny Vee Maruquin Santos; his beloved son, Christian Matthew Udaundo; his stepdaughter, Jeannica Andrea Ragandap; his mother, Elvira Udaundo; his sisters, Vangie Tomes, Theresa Udaundo, and Jennifer De Guzman; his nieces, Jasmine Juarez, Chantelle Cruz, and Marie Escalante; and his nephews, Samy Juarez Jr., Justin Juarez, and Rylan De Guzman.

He worked as an auto mechanic and was known as a dependable personal handyman to many. Generous with his time and knowledge, Edgar was always willing to lend a helping hand—whether fixing a car, repairing something around the house, or tackling a project someone else didn’t know how to handle. If he didn’t already know how to do something, he would quickly look it up on YouTube and figure it out. His resourcefulness and willingness to help never went unnoticed.

Edgar will be remembered most for his sense of humor. He was a natural jokester who had the gift of finding humor in any situation, always quick with smart remarks and sarcasm. His smile was constant, and it was rare to see him upset. He brought laughter wherever he went and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Visitation will be held on February 9, 2026, at Mission Mortuary, 450 Camino El Estero, Monterey, CA 93940, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on February 10, 2026, 10:00am at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, 362 Lighthouse Avenue, Pacific Grove, CA 93950.

Burial will immediately follow at San Carlos Cemetery, 792 Fremont Street, Monterey, CA 93940.
