Janet C. Farrington, born Morris, on May 26, 1949, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away on January 27, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Henri and Edna (Peterson) Morris, both of whom predeceased her. Growing up in Trumbull, Connecticut, Janet developed a love for the arts and crafts, which she continued to nurture throughout her life. She was known for her passion for gardening, reading, cooking, and working on puzzles. Janet’s warmth extended to all creatures, as she was an ardent lover of animals. Her fondness for family gatherings brought her immense joy, especially during moments shared with her grandchildren, whom she adored. Janet was a faithful watcher of General Hospital and never missed an episode of her soap opera. In her professional life, Janet dedicated herself to her role as a pharmacy associate in retail, where she served the community with kindness and integrity. Janet is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Ridolfi (A. David) and Christine Chaiffre; her brother Robert Morris (Joanne); and her cherished grandchildren: Arthur, Hunter (Sarah), Ryan, Emma, and CJ along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Janet was predeceased by her brother, George Morris. In accordance with Janet’s wishes, private services will be held at a later date. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their condolences consider donations to the Wales Community Pantry, Here Today Adopted Tomorrow Animal Shelter, or the American Cancer Society. Janet will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her legacy will live on through the love and memories shared by her family and friends.
