Dolores Pasculli, a beloved wife, mother, woman of faith, and friend to many, was born on June 16, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York. She was the cherished daughter of a Spanish/Cuban immigrant father and a Swedish/American mother, a heritage that shaped both her fiery spirit and her deep compassion for others.

Sixty-nine years ago, Dolores met the love of her life, Mauro, at a community dance in Hoboken, New Jersey. From that moment on, their lives were intertwined. They were married on June 28, 1958, and, remarkably, were never apart except when her beloved husband was in the U.S. Army—a true love story that spanned nearly seven decades. Their marriage was a partnership filled with adventure, devotion, laughter, and unwavering commitment, a love affair that many would say was truly made in heaven.

Dolores was a devoted mother to her two sons. Her son, Nicholas Mark was born in 1961, followed by her son, Mark Andre in 1962, just fifteen months later. She poured her heart into her family, nurturing them with strength, faith, and unconditional love. Her deep and abiding faith guided her life and inspired those around her, especially encouraging her sons into various ministries.

Baptized Lutheran, Dolores converted to Catholicism at the age of 20, embracing the faith that would remain central to her life. She was a woman of profound devotion, rarely missing an opportunity to attend Mass unless illness prevented her. Even during the challenges of the COVID pandemic, she faithfully attended Mass every Sunday online. She was an active participant in a Bible study with Christian women from four states, treasuring fellowship, prayer, and the Word of God.

Dolores was also known for her many joys in life. She was a wonderful cook, especially celebrated for her Italian dishes, which she loved to prepare and share. She enjoyed playing golf until about nine years ago and found great pleasure in watching tennis on television. Though small in stature, she was spirited and feisty—“definitely the Cuban in her,” as her family fondly recalls.

Dolores had friends all over the world thanks to her travels with Mauro and was deeply loved by many. Her warmth, faith, and strength left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her life was a testament to love, devotion, and grace.

Dolores is survived by her beloved husband of 67 + years, Mauro; her sons, Nicholas and Mark; her cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Rachel, Savannah, Zachery, and David; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Avery and Presley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her godchildren, all of whom she loved with all her heart.

She will be remembered always for her faith-filled heart, her enduring marriage, her fierce love for her family, and the joy she brought into the lives of so many.

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
