Our precious mother and grandmother, LaVerta (Polly) Hall, rose to heaven on January 16, 2026. She was born February 2, 1940, in San Angelo, Texas, to Robert and Josephine Jordan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth Hall; her mother and father, Josephine and Robert Jordan; her brother, Dwayne Jordan; her daughter, Carrie Volk; her daughter-in-law, Dawn Hall; and her grandson, Mark McKern. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Jordan; sister, Lorna Gunningham; daughter, Sheri McKern (Tim); son-in-law, Jim Volk; son, Jim Hall; daughter, Jodie Cullen (Tom); and grandchildren, Timothy McKern, Kristina Cray, Danielle Volk, Zachary Volk, Dylan Hall, Kylee Cullen, and Sara Hall. She also leaves behind many adored nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. She spent her career dispatching for multiple police departments, a profession she truly loved. She fought a courageous battle and never took a moment for granted. Mom’s pure kindness and unwavering love spread throughout her family. Her church was a central part of her life. She loved cooking for her family and baking Christmas goodies; Thanksgiving at Mom’s was always the best. She was a fantastic gardener with a deep love for flowers. She also spent years sewing—whether it was crafting matching outfits for her "non-twin" daughters or hemming her grandkids’ pants—she would do anything for her family. She attended everything she could to support her grandchildren at their sporting events and graduations; she loved them so dearly. She took great joy in teaching and helping them through her own recipes, passing down her love for cooking to the next generation. Thank you, Mom, for your endless love. Because we got to call you our Mom and Grandma, we are so grateful.
You are so very loved and missed.
Rest peacefully, Little Mama.
We hold you forever in our hearts.
