Jamie A. (Christian) Johnson, 50, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.

Jamie attended Lewis Lane Church. She was skilled at many things including drawing, painting, crocheting and being able to work any job in the industry she set her mind on. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her time with her granddaughter and nieces and nephews; she treated them like her own.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eric Christian; her mother-in-law, Evelyn Johnson.

Jamie is survived by her husband, Rick Johnson; son, Scott (Jada) Johnson; granddaughter, Evelyn Johnson; mother, Brenda Christian; brothers, Christopher (Karen) Christian, Michael (Angie) Christian; uncle, Kelvin Bishop, who was considered like a brother; sister, Pamela (Terry) Kestner; maternal grandmother, Emmogene Bishop; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and soon to be great nephew, who she had a hand in raising and shaping each.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Evangelist Kelvin Bishop, Pastor Chris Christian and Assistant Pastor Jonathan Christian.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Scott Johnson, Mike Christian, Matthew Christian, Broddie Christian, Jonathan Christian and Jordan Cathey. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Kestner and Rick Johnson. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. to go in to procession.
