Mary Kathleen Edkins was born on October 28, 1929, to Dwight and Angeline Snow in Beach, North Dakota. She and William Edkins were married in 1951 in Beach and one of the first stops in their marriage was a year spent in Fairbanks, Alaska. Their three children were born in Montana and the family permanently settled in Denver, CO, in 1961.
Kathleen spent 50 years working for Winger Real Estate as a bookkeeper and secretary, retiring at the age of 92. In midlife, Kathleen was an oil painter; she will also be remembered for her daily yoga in the middle of the living room, being a voracious reader, and her love of gardening.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and their middle son, Jeffrey. Surviving her are her daughter, Alice; son, Robert; sister, Ruth; brother, Rodney; daughter-in-law, Gina; three grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be no service. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery with her husband.
