Korey G. Martin was born on October 11, 1971, to Korey Glen Martin and Julia Beth Baldwin in Salt Lake City, Utah. He peacefully and unexpectedly passed away on January 22, 2026. He had been fighting an exhausting battle with kidney disease, and his body could not hold on any longer.
Korey spent most of his life in Utah before relocating to Arizona in 2019. On December 21, 1992, he married the love of his life, Allison Collings, with whom he built a family rooted in loyalty, hard work, deep devotion, and Christ.
A gifted heavy-equipment mechanic, Korey could fix just about anything. His hands were skilled, his work ethic unmatched, and he took great pride in providing for his family. Though life was not always easy for him, Korey worked tirelessly to ensure his family had more than he did—not just materially, but with the love, support, and protection he himself had missed growing up. He was a fighter in the truest sense, always standing up for his family and those he loved.
Korey had a strong faith in God and a deep belief in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a loving husband, father, and an incredibly proud papa. While he could be loud, crude, and unapologetically himself, those qualities were always balanced by his immense kindness, compassion, and generosity. Korey was the kind of man who would give his meal, his gas, or even the shirt off his back to help someone in need—whether that person was family, a friend, or a complete stranger. Korey also made sure to help other young men who had similar childhoods to his by providing a loving home to many foster boys through the years.
He loved the outdoors and found joy in shooting, fishing, ATV riding, and being outside whenever he could. He adored his dog, Lilly, who became his constant companion over the last few years when he was unable to spend time in nature.
Above all else, Korey’s greatest love was his wonderful wife and family. His devotion to Allison and his children was unwavering. As a grandfather, nothing mattered more than his grandkids—everything else could wait.
Korey is preceded in death by his parents, Julia Beth Baldwin and Korey Glen Martin, and his brother, Justin Hakey.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Allison Collings Martin; his loyal dog, Lilly; his children, Tawney Martin and fiancé Dustin Harbert, Tanner and Haleigh Martin, Kolby and Aurora Martin, Francisco Hernandez and Jared Bond, Mohsen Rasuli; and his grandchildren, Berkleigh, Owen, Lincoln, Kinsley, Kennedy, Isabella, and Caroline. He is also survived by his sister, Kimberly Martin; her children, Dakota Hunter and Sherokee and Shannon Rowley; and their children, Vincent and Nova.
Korey’s loud laughter, crude (and hilarious) jokes, and unmistakable zest for life will be deeply missed. His legacy of love, sacrifice, and generosity will live on through those he loved and protected so fiercely.
Until we meet again!
