Donald C. Maaswinkel, 79, of Montverde, Florida, formerly of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Legacy
A proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country with honor and carried those values into everyday life. After losing his beloved wife Patricia, he persevered and despite physical challenges, he remained strong in spirit and brought joy to those around him. An avid golfer, he was happiest on the course, enjoying the game, the camaraderie, and a good laugh. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, loyalty and the love he had for his family and for his friends.
Family
Donald is survived by his sister, Laura; his children Greg (Yen), Jessica (Matt), Craig (Melissa), and Kelly (Matt); and his seven grandchildren, Ethan, Payton, Penelope, Cordelia, Ava, CJ, and Mia.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, February 7th from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Woodbury, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, New Jersey. Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Entombment with military honors to follow at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, New Jersey.
