David went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 28th,2026. He is now rejoicing in being reunited with his savior Jesus

and his family: Martha Faye (wife, to whom he was married to for

46 years until her passing), father Glenn, mother Laura, and sisterJudith.

 

David is survived by his children: daughter Wendi (and husband Roy),daughter Lisa, and son Bryan (and wife Amanda). He had 11grandchildren with 2 bonus grand-spouses: Tiffany (and her

husband, Kyler), Brandon (and his wife, Noel), Taylor, Nathan,

Gabriel, Gavin, Darren (and his fiance, Fiona), Noah, Timmy, Arwen(who is with him in heaven), and River. David was also blessed

with 5 great grandchildren:

Niko, Axel, Evelyn, Mavis, and Kaydence.

He is also survived by his 2 nephews, Steve and Mike.

 

David served in the US Army and received an honorable discharge.

He let us know often that the day he came home was the day

Neil Armstrong walked on the moon! He received a National

Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct medal, and a Sharp

Shooter medal.

He served as a morse code interceptor during his service while inGermany.

 

David went on to continue to serve the community with the

City of Mesa Police Department as a Detention officer for 25 yearswhere he retired from with great respect, honor, and admiration

by his peers.

 

Upon retirement, he renewed his love for bowling and was part ofmultiple leagues over the years. He also loved to play golf, goshooting, and collect guns.

 

David, you are loved and will be missed by all of us.

 

Memorial Services to be held on Feburary 13th at Legacy Funeral Home - Rose Chapel from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.
