Alfred J. Collarin Jr., 79, of Turnersville, NJ, passed away on January 29, 2026 with his loving wife by his side.
Al was born February 22, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Alfred J. Collarin, Sr. and Rita Collarin (nee Firlein)
Al graduated from Gloucester City High School in 1963. He then joined the Air Force and served from 1963 to 1969 as an Airplane Mechanic. Al worked for 15 years at Campbell Soup Company in Camden NJ, traveling extensively, as an Engineer Technician. He worked for Radwell International in Lumberton, NJ until his retirement in 2020.
Al is survived by his beloved wife Eileen Collarin (nee Farrell); daughters Cheryl Custis (Rob); Jennifer Collarin; grandsons Chris Heimlich and Devin Collarin; granddaughter Christen Woerner (Jeff); sister Susanna Collarin Cooper, brothers Michael Collarin (Deborah) Andrew Collarin (Joanne); brothers in law Bill Farrell, Donald Farrell (Joanne); sisters in law Bridget Wherrity (Gene), Kathleen Orzechowicz (Michael); many nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.
Al enjoyed spending his time boating and fishing at the Jersey Shore. He was a self-taught guitarist and was in a band for many years. Al was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and never missed a game. He was very skilled in building and completed many projects around the house. Other hobbies included baseball, bowling, and a lifelong interest in the NASA space program.
What he enjoyed the most was spending time with family and friends. Those who knew him best cherished his sense of humor. He is loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, February 10th, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stagecoach Road, Sicklerville, NJ 08081. Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Interment to follow in Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery Williamstown, New Jersey.
