Mr. Andrew Michael “Andy” Harmyk, age 87, a resident of Haines City, Florida passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Mr. Harmyk was born June 6, 1938, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Andrew and Margaret (Petrovich) Harmyk. He was a Polk County resident since 2012 coming from New Jersey. Andy was a retired Mechanical Engineer in the Industrial/Medical Industry and a United States Veteran serving 2 years in the Air Force and 1 year in the Navy. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven and worked a booth at the Flea Market for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents and son – Michael Harmyk. Andy is survived by his loving wife of 44 years – Pat Harmyk; 3 stepsons – Russ (Jennifer) Shaw, Steven Shaw and Walter (Annie) Meyers; 2 grandchildren – Brendan & Brooke. A memorial service with Military Honors will be held 1pm Thursday, March 19th at the First Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven.
