Valerie Marie Taylor died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, 23 January 2026, in Alexandria, Virginia.
Valerie was born on 5 May 1949 in Los Angeles, California. She traveled extensively in her youth and lived in California, Germany, Virginia, France, Italy, and Maryland before settling down permanently in Alexandria. She is a graduate of Fort Hunt High School in Alexandria, Virginia.
She is predeceased by her parents, Marta Salomoni Taylor and Robert Castel Taylor, and by her sister Luisa Clivio Holbrook. She is survived by one sister, Barbara Ann Taylor, and numerous cousins who reside in Italy.
Valerie was a nature and animal lover. She was devoted to her pets and was the pet parent of one cat and dog at the time of her death.
Valerie was a larger than life figure who will leave a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
