Celebrating a Life Well Lived
In Loving Memory
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Robert Harry Mayo (Bob), who left us on 29 January 2026 at the age of 89. Bob was cherished by our family and friends and will be deeply missed.
A Life of Joy and Dedication
Born on 5 October 1936 in Los Angeles, California to Stanton Daniel Mayo and Mildred Mary Hickey, Bob was committed to making his family and community a better place. During his career as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician (Master Blaster] while serving in the miliary or as a Civil Servant for the United States Government, Bob traveled in several parts of the world. Following his retirement in 1997, Bob and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States, finally settling in Apache Junction, AZ. He was a man of few words with a quick wit and strength of character that served him well throughout his life. His wisdom and conversations of few words will be deeply missed.
Family and Friends
Bob is survived by his children Butch Mayo of Roy, UT, Michael Mayo of Phoenix, AZ, Linda Hoag of Cleveland, TN, Stanton Mayo of Surprise, AZ, and David Mayo of Roy, UT. He is predeceased by His beloved wife Katharina Mayo, his son Robert C. Mayo formerly of Layton, UT, and daughter Birgit Williams formerly of Bessemer City, NC. May Bob's soul rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire us all.
