Damian Hiep Tran, 49, of Tampa, FL, passed away on February 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on February 22, 1976, in Vietnam, he was the son of Hanh Le and Tu Van Tran and the proud father of Jayda Kounnavong. He leaves behind his siblings, Luom Tran, Hoa Tran, Mali Tran, Mai Tran and Amy Wu.
Damian was always cracking jokes with his big sense of humor, but he was best known for being loyal, kind, and incredibly giving. He was a man of few words, yet he had the biggest heart. Damian fought a long and courageous battle, one that showed his strength and resilience. Through it all, he will forever be held in our hearts.
Damian’s funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.Family viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m., with friends and others welcome to arrive at 10:00 a.m.The service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
