Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for six years immediately after graduating high school. In 1968, he moved to Colorado, where he met the love of his life, Jody Wright. They were married on February 17, 1968, beginning a partnership marked by devotion, resilience, and deep family roots.
Ron worked for the City of Thornton for 40 years as a water treatment plant operator, a role he approached with dedication and pride. His strong work ethic was a defining part of who he was. He retired earlier than he hoped due to Parkinson’s disease, a challenge he faced with quiet courage.
He loved the outdoors and the hobbies that brought him joy—fishing, camping, and the thrill of top fuel racing. Ron also enjoyed traveling, exploring new places with his family and creating memories that became treasured stories. Above all, he cherished time spent with the people he loved most.
Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Holly Ewig; his grandson, David Andrews; and his sister‑in‑law, Regina Luibel.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Jody Ewig; his daughters Tina Weseloh (Glen), Jolene Andrews, and Katie Sjulstad (Justin); ten grandchildren; seven great‑grandchildren; his brother Mike Holowich (Beth); and his brothers‑in‑law Ray Wright (Carol) and Stephen Luibel.
A Funeral Mass will be held on February 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Romero Family Funeral Home, 4750 Tejon St., Denver, CO 80211.

Ron’s legacy lives on in the family he loved, the work he devoted himself to, and the memories he leaves behind with all who knew him.
