It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Angela Porto, of Woolwich Township, New Jersey, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. She was 58 years old.
Angela was a light to everyone who knew her. Funny, witty, and greatly intelligent, she brought humor and honesty into every conversation. She loved fiercely. Her pets, her family, and the life she built were everything to her.
Angela was deeply proud of her 17 years of sobriety and recovery, a journey that shaped who she ultimately became and how she lived. AA was a central part of her life and a source of strength, community, and growth. Through recovery, Angela found clarity, purpose, and a renewed appreciation for life. Inspired by her own experience, she chose a career in nursing so she could help others. She earned her bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon University. For Angela, nursing was more than a profession; it was a way to give back and to support others on their own paths.
A cancer survivor, Angela faced illness with courage and determination. That experience changed her outlook on life, deepening her gratitude and reinforcing her commitment to living fully and intentionally, guided by faith.
Alongside her wife, Amanda, Angela proudly co-owned Restored Antiquity. Building that business together was a source of pride, just as their partnership and shared life were central to everything she did.
Angela loved the beach and found joy and peace in Charleston, Key West, Bahamas and Brigantine Beach. Whether traveling or at home with a cup of coffee, Angela cherished time with her wife and children, her beloved pets close by, and the simple moments that mattered most.
Angela’s legacy is one of resilience, compassion, and love. She showed those around her that healing is possible, that life can be rebuilt, and that strength and kindness can exist side by side. She will be remembered for her humor, her heart, and the light she brought into the lives of others.
Angela is reunited in peace with her father, Ignatius A. Ranno. She is survived by her mother, Helen Ranno; her wife, Amanda Lampkin-Porto; her sons, Trent Lampkin and Chase Lampkin; her sisters, Lisa Giacobetti (Anthony) and Andrea Ranno (Richard Culver); her mother-and father-in-law, Kathy and Charlie Doud; her brothers-and sisters-in-law, Zachary Greenwald (Morgan) and Samantha Krushinski (Adam); her nieces and nephews, Sophia (Anuj), Anthony (Gianna), Silvio, Emma, Max, Ellie, and Blake; her great-niece and nephews, Dash, Iya, and Cenzo; and her cherished pets, Springsteen, Daisy, Basil, Sage, and Savannah.
Family and friends are invited to attend Angela’s visitation that will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Beginning at 7:30pm, Words of Remembrance will be spoken by family and friends, followed by a Prayer Vigil.
