Maria Blanca Lopez, 77, of Mountain Home, Idaho, passed away on December 16th, 2025 while surrounded by her loving family.
Maria Blanca Guarjado was born a proud Texan, 23 October 1948, in Ropesville, Texas, to Estevan Guerra Guajardo and Beatrice Dominguez Guajardo. Blanca spent her life caring for children, the elderly, and the less fortunate. She loved God, family, and her country. Blanca enjoyed reading, cooking, and decorating. She had a wonderful sense of style and humor. Blanca had a special talent for staying positive through the most challenging situations in her life. Her empathy and kindness reached many, and she used her talents to uplift all those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Esteban and Beatrice Guajardo, her siblings Andrea Alaniz Tapia, Esteban Guarjado, Adolfo Guarjado, and Paul Guajardo, and her son, Gino Martinez Jr. She is survived by her devoted husband, Luis Belarmino. Lopez and her children, Jackie Guajardo Nunez, Sadie Jean Martinez Calamaco, and Michael James Martinez. Blanca and Luis helped raise 21 beloved grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Carolina Tenneygue, Pete Guajardo, George Guajardo, Beatriz Mesa, Debra Brito, and Natividad Guajardo.
Blanca’s funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on 21 January 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 5th Ward Building, 790 S Haskett St, Mountain Home, ID 83647. Bishop Scott Spaulding will be officiating. Internment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, 725 N. 18th East St., Mountain Home, ID 83647.

Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
