Myrn Neuman
Francis Myrn Margaret Neuman (nee McKeirnan) was born on August 6, 1930, in Pomeroy, Washington to Nellie T. (nee Flerchinger) and William R. McKeirnan. She spent most of her life in Oregon but resided in Chandler, Arizona since 2002. Myrn passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, with family members at her side. In addition to her sister Sally, she is survived by her four children: Gloria Jeffery, Barbara Twitchell, Michael Pace and Yvonne Crapo, two grandchildren Matt Twitchell, Patrick Twitchell and three great grandchildren Jackson Twitchell, Benjamin Twitchell and Tess McCauley.
Myrn graduated from Enterprise High School in 1947. She married Melvin Pace on October 1, 1947, and they began an active family life in Enterprise, Oregon. Melvin and Myrn raised four children in eastern Oregon where the family owned a wheat and cattle ranch. In 1965 they divorced and Myrn moved to Portland Oregon where she worked at First National Bank of Oregon for several years, then went on to work for a CPA before joining Teledyne FLIR Systems Inc. as a financial manager. It was in Portland that Myrn met and married Stan Neuman. Stan died in 1998. Myrn worked 15 years for FLIR before retiring in 2001 and moving to Arizona.
Throughout her life Myrn developed an appreciation for lifelong learning, travel and adventure. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed travel periodicals, especially National Geographic, and action/adventure novels. She traveled the world with family and friends, visiting four continents, over 20 countries and most US states. Several travel experiences she enjoyed were a 2000 trip to Egypt where she climbed the Pyramids, visited the monument to Ramses II in Abu Simbel and traveled the Nile from Aswan to Cairo, a 2011 heritage trip to Ireland with her three daughters and a 2013 trip with her sister, Sally, and her sister’s husband, Sam, to China as well as a cruise around the horn of South America.. As a long-term resident of the Solera Community in Chandler, she enjoyed neighborhood parties, outings to local restaurants, community activities and card games. As her great grandchildren entered high school, she attended all their basketball and baseball games during winter clinics in Arizona.
Myrn was a practicing Catholic and member of the Saint Steven’s Church in Sun Lakes.
