Glenn Edward Leinbach Sr. of Church Hill, 95, died on February 4, 2026. He was born on April 5, 1930 in Monmouth, Illinois. He was ushered into his Heavenly Father’s arms in heaven and greeted by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Leinbach, parents Doren and Dorothy Leinbach, daughter Shelia Leinbach, and grandson Kevin Johnson. He leaves behind an incredible legacy through his beloved children: Glenn Leinbach Jr. with wife Patty, Sheryl Johnson with husband Terry, and Jim Leinbach with wife Teri. As a testament to his enduring impact and the life he built, he is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. All who will carry forward his footsteps of longevity, hardwork, and joy for generations to come.
As a skilled carpenter handyman, Glenn was always said to have been “handy to have around.” Anytime his family considered buying a new home, they wanted him to lay eyes on it first. He could see the potential in any fixer upper and turn it into home sweet home. It seemed as though there wasn’t anything he couldn’t repair or restore. A man who never shied away from hard work whether it’s at home, on the farm, or at church. He was a faithful member and maintenance worker at the First Baptist Church in Church Hill since 1995. For three decades, he greeted his kingdom family at the door, parked cars, and fixed whatever needed fixing.
Glenn’s family honors his legacy and invites friends, neighbors, and church members to join them at Carter Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Visitation is at 3pm with the funeral service starting at 4pm.
