Gary Lee Bumgardner, 69, of Kernersville passed away on February 6, 2026 under the care of Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Born in Forsyth County, North Carolina, he was the son of Jean F. Bumgardner and the late Billy Bumgardner and husband to Deborah Bumgardner.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Bumgardner; his son, Cory Bumgardner (Allison); his grandchildren, Tate, Ezra, Madalyn, and one more on the way.
Per the family's request, there will be no services held at this time. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the North Carolina ALS Association.
