Delores Ann “DeeDee” Wheeler, 69, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, in Chandler, Arizona. Born on July 8, 1956, in Escanaba, Michigan, she brought warmth and strength to those around her throughout her life.

Known affectionately as DeeDee, she was a loving mother to Janice Ellis and Bryan Cary and a cherished partner to Robert Fry. Her family was her world and she found great joy in helping and caring for those she loved. 

DeeDee is also survived by her granddaughters Natasha, Kyleigh and Caitlyn, several great grandchildren, her sisters Joan (Ron) Deem and Carol (Phil) Waudby, her brother Ronald White and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her mother Grace Chaffin, father Alvie Chaffin, brother Thomas White, and sister Phyllis Cross.

Her passions were rooted in the simple joys of life— helping and cooking for family and friends, tending to plants and landscaping, and sharing fun & laughter during casino trips and playing bingo. DeeDee’s home was often filled with the comforting aroma of a home-cooked meal and the welcoming presence of someone always ready to lend a hand or offer support.

A woman of compassion and deep resilience, DeeDee will be remembered for her loving nature, helpful spirit, and unwavering strength. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no official services. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
