Matilda Kimball, age 98, of Loveland, Colorado passed away on February 7th, 2026.

Matilda “Tillie” Kimball was born in St. Peters, Kansas on December 4th, 1927, to Dan and Anna Dreiling.

In 1945, Tillie moved to Denver where she met her husband, Kenneth, while working at Walgreens in downtown Denver. They were married on June 8th, 1948. Together they had two children, Carol and Wayne.

In 1967, Tillie and Kenneth moved to Haxtun, Colorado, where they bought a pharmacy.

In 1974, Tillie and Kenneth moved to Loveland, Colorado where Tillie worked in the cafeteria for the Loveland School District. After retiring she volunteered at Banner Health Hospital in Loveland, Colorado.

Tillie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who put her family above all else. There is nothing she wouldn’t have done for a member of her family. Tillie enjoyed cooking and made the best “cashmolish” and the best homemade rolls. She also enjoyed bowling, gardening, doing word puzzles and watching the Kansas Jayhawks and Denver Broncos. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and especially loved watching her great grandchildren grow.

Kenneth passed away in 2009, and Tillie continues to live in their home for fifteen years. In January 2024, Tillie moved to Good Samaritan in the assisted living residency. Here she enjoyed making new friends, playing bingo and participating in other activities that Good Samaritan offered.

Tillie is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Anna Dreiling, brothers Albert, Chris, Ben, Dominic, Herb, sister Dorothy Prado and grandson Ashton Bullard.

Tillie is survived by her daughter, Carol Lambert (husband Ken), son Wayne Kimball, grandchildren Tiffany Bullard, Kimberly Burke (Cullen), Amanda Lordemann (Tyler), great grandchildren Paytton, Brooklyn, Kensley, Remington, Parker, Skyler, Kennedy, Logan, Shelby, Erik and Kyoshi. She is also survived by her sister Regina Haynes of Denver and a brother Gilbert and his wife Carol of Littleton, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Loveland, Colorado on February 26th at 10am with mass of Christian burial to follow. Interment will be at Resthaven memorial Gardens following the service. A luncheon will be served at St. John’s Catholic Church following the burial.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church or Good Samaritan Assisted Living.
