On January 30, 2026, Ginger (Trytten) Ketels passed away peacefully at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado, surrounded by love.
Ginger was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Kenneth Ketels. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Ketels) Cure; her son-in-law, Scott Cure; and her beloved grandchildren, Kaine and Kayla Cure. She is also survived by her sisters, Debra (Trytten) Walser and Dawn (Trytten) Pinkham; her brothers, Steve Trytten and Rick Trytten; her sister-in-law, Kathy (Ketels) Widing; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Ginger was born in Minnesota and moved to Colorado as a young adult, where she built a life rooted in family, work, and service. She spent most of her career at Hewlett Packard in progressively expanding roles and her retirement was spent volunteering, traveling and being present for those she loved.
Ginger was known for her warmth, steadiness, pragmatism, and practical wisdom. She valued connection, kindness, and family, and she lived with a quiet strength that carried her through both joy and challenge. She approached life, and its ending, with thoughtfulness, clarity, and grace.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
A memorial service will be held on February 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Lincoln Center Columbine Room in Fort Collins, Colorado. The family invites you to join them and remember Ginger by spending time with those you love — values she held dear.
