Our beloved Husband, Father, and Papa passed away December 3, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Keith Arnold Preece was born on August 9,1938, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Freeman Braley Preece and Eva Warner Preece. He was the last addition to a family of seven older brothers and sisters. He grew up in McCammon, Idaho. His father died when he was a young boy and his mother needed to work so he was sent to live with his eldest married sister, Gwen and her husband, Phillip Marley.

He was active at North Marsh High School playing football, playing tenor saxophone, in a dance band, and student government. He attended Idaho Stake College, University of Utah. He then joined the Air Force and was sent to Penn State University to study meteorology.

He met and married Cheryl McDaniel in September of 1964, graduated from Penn State and then was stationed at Williams AFB in Arizona as a weather instructor for pilots. He was later sent to Vietnam for a year. After his time in Vietnam, he served as an Air Force Weather Meteorologist based in Sacramento and Guam, eventually ending up at McChord Air Force Base in Washington State.

After retiring from the Air Force, he worked at Tacoma City Water for many years, before he finally retired. In retirement, he became an avid wood carver and a wood carving judge at the Washington State Fair.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Cheryl, only child Ryan and his wife Tina, grandson Tynan and his wife, Harriet, granddaughter, Paige, and grandson, Kellen. He will be deeply missed.
