Gabriela Gonzalez, 20, of Homedale, died Friday, February 6, 2026. A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 5-8:00 pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell, with a rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 1122 W. Linden Street in Caldwell, with a graveside service to immediately follow at Wilder Cemetery in Wilder. Services are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833
Gabriela “Gaby” Gonzalez was the most beautiful soul—loving, kind, and full of light. She had a presence that could brighten any room and a heart that was always thinking of others. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and special. She will live on not only in our memories, but in her legacy and in the many contributions she made to her community. She touched countless lives.
Gaby passed away on February 6, 2026, at just 20 years old. She was born on April 28, 2005, to Miguel Gonzalez and Ana Mendoza. As the youngest of 3. She dreamed big and was always ready for the next adventure.She met her boyfriend Jose Ventura and often spoke about how deeply she loved him. Gaby was unapologetically herself—fearless in speaking her mind and standing in her truth. She had a gift: for making others feel, scene, heard, and special.She shared a beautiful bond with her older sister “Sissy” Cristina—and older brother, Miguel whom she referred to as “little brother” The love she had for her siblings was powerful and undeniable.
Gaby dreamed of traveling the world with the people she loved. She had a passion for dancing, photography, makeup, flowers, and embracing her femininity. She loved being a girly girl. Above all, she believed in self-love and encouraged others to love themselves just as deeply.
Gaby is survived by her loving parents, Miguel Gonzalez and Ana Mendoza; her sister, Cristina Gonzalez; her brother, Miguel Gonzalez; her sister-in-law, Yaritza Ornelas; her beloved boyfriend, Jose Ventura and her cherished niece and nephew, Aveline and Aiden Gonzalez.
Gabriela “Gaby” González fue el alma más hermosa: amorosa, amable y llena de luz. Tenía una presencia capaz de iluminar cualquier lugar y un corazón que siempre pensaba en los demás. Tenía la manera de hacer que todos se sintieran vistos y especiales. Vivirá no solo en nuestros recuerdos, sino también en su legado y en las múltiples contribuciones que hizo a su comunidad. Tocó innumerables vidas.
Gaby falleció el 6 de febrero de 2026, a tan solo 20 años. Nació el 28 de abril de 2005, hija de Miguel González y Ana Mendoza. Era la menor de tres hermanos. Soñaba en grande y siempre estaba lista para la próxima aventura.
Conoció a su novio, José Ventura, y a menudo hablaba de lo profundamente que lo amaba. Gaby era auténticamente ella misma: valiente al expresar su opinión y firme en su verdad. Tenía un don: hacer que los demás se sintieran vistos, escuchados y especiales.
Compartía un vínculo hermoso con su hermana mayor, “Sissy” Cristina, y con su hermano mayor, Miguel, a quien llamaba “hermanito”. El amor que sentía por sus hermanos era poderoso e innegable.
Gaby soñaba con viajar por el mundo con las personas que amaba. Tenía pasión por el baile, la fotografía, el maquillaje, las flores y por abrazar su feminidad. Le encantaba ser una chica coqueta. Sobre todo, creía en el amor propio y animaba a los demás a quererse con la misma profundidad.
Gaby deja el recuerdo de sus amorosos padres, Miguel González y Ana Mendoza; su hermana, Cristina González; su hermano, Miguel González; su cuñada, Yaritza Ornelas; su amado novio, José Ventura; y sus queridos sobrinos, Aveline y Aiden González.
