Ellis David Dupsky passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, in Arvada, Colorado. He was born on April 10, 1938, in Stanton, Nebraska, to Emil William Dupsky and Marguerite Hildreth Dupsky (Watts).

Ellis graduated in 1956 from Hahn Campus School. Raised in a hardworking family, he developed a strong work ethic early in life. As a young man, he learned to drive pickups and operate construction vehicles and heavy equipment, working alongside his family building power and telephone lines while still attending school.

After graduation, Ellis joined his family in Limon, Colorado, where they were working at the time. Later in 1956, he moved to Kansas when his family constructed a warehouse shop. Ellis traveled with the construction crew as their superintendent, gaining valuable experience and leadership skills that would shape his career.

While in Kansas, Ellis met the love of his life, Harriet Kay Hauschild. The two were married on September 13, 1959, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love and dedication. His work took the family to many different states and cities, yet all four of their children were born at the historic Boothroy Hospital in Goodland, Kansas. Eventually, when his line of work changed, Ellis and his family settled in Goodland.

Ellis and Harriet shared a deep love for the Colorado mountains. In 1972, they fulfilled a dream by purchasing a home in Colorado. There, Ellis continued his career in construction, serving as a supervisor for Franzen and Son Construction Company in Commerce City, where his skills, reliability, and leadership were highly valued.

Ellis will be remembered for his tireless work ethic, devotion to his family, and the steady presence he brought to those around him. His life reflected perseverance, commitment, and a love for both family and the places he called home.
