Bonsiena Birnus John was born on February 13, 1976, in Majuro, Marshall Islands, and peacefully passed away on December 31, 2025, in Seattle, Washington.
She grew up in a small town in Rita, Marshall Islands, where she built the foundation of the strong, resilient woman so many came to know and love. Throughout her life, Bonsiena worked in various distribution warehouses and custodial services, always doing what she needed to provide and push forward.
Bonsiena was known for her strong, tough, loud, caring, and funny personality. She had a big presence and an even bigger heart. She loved dressing up and always made sure her appearance was on point — style mattered to her. Her favorite color was peach coral pink, a color that reflected her vibrant spirit, warmth, and love for beauty.
She enjoyed watching homemaker and lifestyle shows, loved anything with an island vibe, and had a deep love for jewelry — from modern pieces to shells and ancient styles. She loved to hang out, laugh, and simply enjoy life.
Bonsiena is survived by her loving children:
Tami Nashion, Jembirlynn Nashion, Wanear Mike Kape Nashion, Kevin John, Dancy Typhoon, Lisa Typhoon, and Isabelle Typhoon, and her 10 cherished grandchildren, who were a great source of pride and joy in her life.
She will be remembered as a woman who was unapologetically herself — strong, stylish, humorous, and deeply caring in her own way. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.
