Mary Frances Packard of Easton, Maryland, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at age 97.
Mary Frances had a long fulfilling life and will be remembered for many things, especially her leadership and creativity as a teacher, writer, business owner, gardener, and community service volunteer. She was a loving wife and mother as well as a loyal friend to many.
Her memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Oxford Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Talbot County Garden Club for the Mary Frances Packard Memorial Garden at the Talbot County Free Library (Easton): TCGC, PO Box 1524, Easton, MD 21601.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Dr. A. Gibson Packard Jr. They raised three children, Gib, Stan (deceased) and Tracy.
She is survived by her son Gib, (wife Dorothy) and daughter Tracy (partner Frank), grandchildren Kathryn, Michael, Andrew, Benjamin, Penny, Miranda, Sam and Markus and great grandchildren Rosemary and Florence.
