Sadly, Thomas Delehanty passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 11, 2026.  Thomas was born in the Bronx to David Delehanty and Mildred Gallichio.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Master of Arms during the Vietnam War.  Tom retired from the NYPD as a detective on May 31,1996 after 23 years.  He was a coach for the North Rockland Soccer Association and was a member of the Rockland County Shields.  He lived a full life with family and many friends.    

 

Tom was a loving husband, father, Pop Pop, uncle and great uncle.  He is survived by his wife Christine, the love of his life, daughter Kerri (Tom), son Thomas (Erica), grandchildren Alyssa, Matthew, Gavin and Leah.  Also his brother-in-law Michael Leo, wife Gina, brother-in-law James Leo, wife Catherine.  As well as several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  He will be greatly missed by family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.    

 

Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday February 16, 2026, from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville. Mass on February 17, 2026 at The Church of the Immaculate Conception at 26 John St, Stony Point, NY 10980 at 10:00 am.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Parkinson's Association.
