Lillian B. Lord, 80, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, in West Springfield, MA. She was born on March 5, 1945, in St. Albans, VT, and as a child moved with her family to Springfield, MA where she grew up. She was the beloved daughter of Roland J. Lord and Clarice C. Lord and grew up alongside her sister Jackie and her twin sister Susan.
Lillian attended cosmetology school and spent more than twenty years as a talented hairdresser. She later attended Springfield Technical Community College and Orlando
College, earning an Associate Degree of Science in Business. She went on to build a successful career in business as a data, billing, and provider-relations specialist.
In 1989, Lillian moved to Florida, where she embraced the sunshine and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially on memorable trips to the casino.
Lillian is survived by her sister Jacqueline Asselin of San Jose, CA, and her twin sister Susan LeClaire of Belchertown, MA. She also leaves her nieces Deborah LaPlante, Mary Ann Langlais, and Pauline Potter; and her nephews Robert Asselin and David LeClaire, all of whom loved her dearly.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Lillian will be laid to rest with her parents at Highland Memorial Park in Ocala, FL.
In memory of Lillian’s love for animals, contributions may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
