Louise passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026. Preceded in death by beloved husband Elwin ‘Carl’ and son Mark. Survived by daughters Cheryl and Linda, brother Ray (Peg), 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her much loved sister-in-law Doretta.

Louise was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Florida in 1958. She was a devoted wife and mother. She worked as a bookkeeper for several companies including the businesses owned by husband Carl and then for Jim’s Harley Davidson of St. Petersburg. After a brief retirement she went back to work part-time as a librarian at Raymond James Financial; retiring at the age of 84.

Louise’s favorite hobby was knitting. She enjoyed making afghans for family and friends. She knitted and donated dozens of baby blankets to the children’s hospital. She was a longtime member and officer of LaSertoma service club, donating her time working at the hearing center of the children’s hospital and many charity fundraising events sponsored by the club.

Louise will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to family, her great sense of humor and her service to others. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Meadowpark Health and Rehab of Dunedin for the wonderful care and compassion they provided to Louise.
