Carmella Marie Clifford, 79, of Summerfield passed away on February 11, 2026, in Summerfield.
Carmella “Cookie” Clifford was born in Orange, NJ to the late Al and Ida Verducci on 02/06/1947. She went to school at Our Lady of the Valley in South Orange, NJ. She Married Daniel P. Clifford, Sr on September 14, 1968, in that same town. Cookie moved to the Summerfield area in 1979. She worked alongside her husband at the repair shop for 40 years. She was a faithful member of the Catholic Church, and she was a member of Saint Mark the Evangelist in Summerfield. Cookie enjoyed bragging about her grandkids, reading a good book and cooking Sunday pasta.
Besides her parents, Carmella is proceeded in death by her husband Daniel P. Clifford, Sr., and her sister Phyliss Drake.
Cookie is survived by her sons, Daniel Clifford Jr. (Amy) of Belleview, Florida, and Todd Clifford (Kristen) of Ocala, Florida; grandchildren, Kelsey Clifford of Belleview, Florida; Dane Clifford of Belleview, Florida; Camp Clifford of Ocala, Florida; Ainsley Clifford of Jacksonville, Florida.
Funeral Services will take place Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, Belleview, FL
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Empath Hospice of Marion County.
