Richard Alan Kiser, of Maricopa, Arizona, formerly of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on February 10, 2026. Born on April 24, 1953, in Marion, Indiana, Richard lived a life defined by dedication to his country, his profession, and, most importantly, his family.

Richard graduated from Palo Verde High School in Tucson, Arizona, in 1971. Immediately following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1971 through 1977, receiving an honorable discharge. During his years of service, he was stationed aboard two nuclear submarines, the USS Pargo (SSN-650) and the USS Lafayette (SSBN-616). Serving on these vessels required extraordinary discipline, technical expertise, and courage — qualities that Richard carried with him throughout his life.

After his military service, Richard pursued higher education at the University of Arizona, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business in 1981. He went on to become a Certified Public Accountant, building a respected career grounded in professionalism, intelligence, and an unwavering work ethic.

While Richard valued his professional accomplishments, his greatest joy was always his family. He cherished time spent with his beloved wife, Lynne Marie Kiser, and treasured family trips to California, Utah, and Yellowstone National Park. One of his most meaningful adventures was a cross-country trip with his son — a journey filled with stories, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Richard enjoyed staying active throughout his life. He loved playing golf, racquetball, bowling, and softball, always embracing both friendly competition and camaraderie. At home, he found peace and enjoyment maintaining his aquarium, especially caring for his unique pet Pacu, which brought him great pride and joy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lynne Kiser; his son, William Kiser and his wife, Elizabeth (Tryba) Kiser; his daughter, Holly Linder and her husband, Ryan Linder; and his granddaughter, Christy Kiser-Alires and her husband, Jared Alires. Richard’s legacy lives on through his family, who will forever carry forward his strength, kindness, and steady presence.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, Arizona 85201.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Arbor Day Foundation in Richard’s memory — a living tribute to a man whose roots were strong, whose life was full, and whose legacy will continue to grow for generations to come.
