Amber Dawn Upson (Fisher), of Homedale, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16th, 2026, at the age of 41.
Amber was born on November 29th, 1984, in Nampa, Idaho, to Edward “Ed” Fisher of Homedale, Idaho, and Judi Edwards (Lewis) of Notus, Idaho.
Amber grew up in Caldwell and graduated from Caldwell High School in 2003.
Amber married William “Bill” Upson, November 6th, 2009. Bill and Amber shared five children together: Emma Brobeck, Sofee, Emmitt, Madeline Bravo, and Olivia Upson. Being a mother was Amber’s greatest accomplishment. Being a Gigi to Maizy Jo and Lainee Lee was her final reward.
Amber had a laugh that was unmistakable. One that people gravitated to. She loved a good story and a home filled with laughter and love. Amber loved the mountains. Life took the Upson family to the flats of Texas for a short time, but Idaho was always Amber’s home. She was most at peace in the mountain pines, next to a lake or the river. She loved adventure. The next story to be made was there and waiting, and she couldn’t wait to find it.
Amber recently got to experience one of life’s greatest gifts - she was a Gigi. Being a grandmother was what she was put here on this earth for, and if you asked her, she would tell you.
Amber was preceded in death by her brother, Jason Ryan Pennington.
Amber is survived by her husband, William “Bill”; children: Emma (Brody) Brobeck, Sofee, and Emmitt Upson; her two step daughters, Madeline Bravo and Olivia Upson; her father, Ed (Stacy) Fisher; her mother, Judi Edwards; brother, Dusty (Stacey) Edwards; sister, Anessa (James) Fisher; brother, Justin (Stephanie) Fisher; step-brothers: Garrett (Marissa) Raymond, Ryan (Jacelyn) Raymond, and Dalton Raymond; step-sister, Taylor Fisher; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many cousins she adored so much.
A celebration of life will be held at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, Tuesday, February 24th, at 11:00 am. A lunch will immediately follow at the Basque Center in Homedale. Services are under the care of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833
