Quynh Mong Whitting, 53, passed away peacefully on February 18th 2026.  A loving wife, daughter, and sister, Quynh lived a life filled with passion for family, flowers, and her work in science.

Born in 1972 in Nha Trang, Vietnam, Quynh embraced life with a zest for adventure. She emigrated to the United States in 1994 and held a double major in science from the University of Washington, where she became a respected Biochemistry scientist. Her dedication to clinical trials for new cancer drugs reflected her commitment to helping humanity.

A lover of flowers, especially orchids and tulips, Quynh cherished trips to nurseries, floral festivals, and botanical gardens. Her enthusiasm extended to fireworks, which she enjoyed up close, feeling their energy and beauty.

A devout Christian, Quynh had a deep faith in Jesus Christ and loved to sing in worship. She faced her diagnosis of Multiple Systems Atrophy with courage and grace, supported by healthcare professionals and close family and tended to daily by her husband.  Unfortunately, her condition worsened, leading her to hospice care, where she peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home.

Quynh is survived by her loving and very grateful husband, Richard Whitting, parents, and two younger brothers, all of whom will miss her dearly. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, unwavering faith, and the joy she brought to those around her.

A service to honor Quynh will be held at Beck’s Tribute Center Chapel on February 25th Wednesday at 11 am to celebrate her life and legacy.  Burial service will be held at Holyrood Cemetery on February 27th at 11am.
