Robin R. Blankenship Hansen, 71, of Chehalis, Washington, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 3, 2026, in Olympia, Washington. Born on November 3, 1954, in Morton, Washington, Robin was the beloved daughter of the late John L. Blankenship and Virginia M. Dickison.
Robin graduated from Tahoma Senior High School in 1973, embarking on a path that would later lead her to the University of Phoenix, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business. Her professional journey culminated in a career as a Business Manager of a Copier Corporation, where her interpersonal skills made her an invaluable asset to colleagues and clients alike.
Robin possessed a rare and beautiful gift-the ability to make everyone she encountered feel valued and loved. Her warm and welcoming spirit was as constant as the flowing waters of the Chehalis River that she adored. For eight cherished years, she made her home one half mile below Rainbow Falls, where the river became not just her neighbor, but her sanctuary and source of endless joy.
Robin found magic in life's quieter moments. She cultivated beauty through her gardening, nurturing flowers and vegetables with the same tender care she showed to everyone in her life. The Chehalis River called her soul, and she answered by floating its gentle currents, finding peace in nature's embrace. Her coin collection told stories of history and adventure, while spirited games of bingo with dear friends filled her days with laughter and camaraderie. Through her poetry, Robin captured the essence of her experiences, weaving words into verses that reflected her deep appreciation for life's blessings. Her generous heart and genuine love for the simple pleasures in life touched everyone, fortunate enough to know her.
On July 12, 2021, Robin married Harold Dean Hansen in the picturesque town of Steilacoom, Washington. Their union was a testament to the enduring power of love and the joy of finding companionship. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. Robin was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured every moment with her family, creating memories that will be cherished for generations to come.
Robin is survived by her loving husband, Harold; her stepmother, Dorothy Blankenship; her son James Lund (Tracy); her daughters April Bright and Aimee Fatton; her stepsons Jason and Zach Hansen; her sisters Sherri Nixon (Victor), Susan Gott (Rod), Kathy Frietas (Ron), and Sandra Ramsey (Mike); her brother Craig Dickison; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members who were blessed by her presence. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Virginia; her sister Linda Bartley; her brother Mark Dickison; and her son, John D. Lund.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday by Deacon Ike Tarabi.

Her memory will live on forever in the lives she touched and the love she so freely gave.
