Thomas (Tom) Frank Galloway was born February 12, 1953, and passed away peacefully at his home in Black Forest, Colorado on January 23, 2026. He was born in South Bend, Indiana, and grew up in Boulder, Colorado.
Tom was a life-long deep thinker. Endlessly curious about the universe, science, and all things technical, he spent most of his career as a computer programmer and his free time learning about physics and astronomy. His technical skill was balanced by a passion for travel, sports like tennis and skiing, and a self-deprecating sense of humor. Every person Tom met soon found themselves laughing, charmed by his easy-going manner. He had a way of connecting with everyone, leaving them inspired to be a little more curious about the world and a little more open minded towards those around them.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wylie and Helen Galloway and his sister Kathleen Galloway. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carole; son Taylor; and older brother James.
