Mark Edward Joseph Bolduc of Venice, Florida — known far and wide in the pool-playing community as “Mark the Shark” — passed away peacefully on the morning of February 20, 2026, as the sun rose one final time. Born in Bourne, Massachusetts, to Maurice Edward Joseph Bolduc (who passed in 2024) and Bernette Romella Caron, Mark lived a life filled with passion, laughter, and unbreakable family bonds.
A true legend at the pool table, Mark will be posthumously inducted into the Manasota APA 2026 Hall of Fame in honor of his 31 years of dedication to the league. His record tells the story of his mastery, sharpshooting skill, and deep love for the game. With a kind heart, quiet strength, legendary sense of humor, fierce competitive spirit, and unwavering devotion to those he loved, Mark lit up every room he entered — and every table he played on. He was the kind of man who made everyone around him better simply by showing up.
He is survived by his mother, Bernette Bolduc; his sister, Karen Perry, and her husband, Robert Perry, along with their children, Bryan Perry and his wife, Jackie Perry, and their sons, Anthony Perry and Alexander Perry, and Melissa Moalli and her husband, Andrew Moalli. Mark was also proud to be Melissa’s Godfather — a role he cherished deeply. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Bolduc, and his wife, Leslie Carpenter Bolduc, and their sons, Scott Carpenter and Steve Carpenter; his dear friend, Wayne Carpenter, a lifetime friend of over 50 years; close friends, Evan and Stephanie Fannin, owners of The Network Gurus, where Mark worked and retired from — a workplace that embraced him as family from day one. He also leaves behind Natalie Rivera and Kylie Deske, whom Mark helped raise and loved as if they were his own daughters.
Mark’s warmth, quick wit, and gentle soul left an indelible mark on every life he touched. He will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever celebrated by his family, friends, fellow players, and colleagues.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be announced at a later date.
