Donald Jon Weeden, 60, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026. Born on August 19, 1965 in Cheyenne, Wy. Donald was affectionately known as Donnie and lived a life filled with warmth, joy, and a deep appreciation for the world around him. Donnie had a remarkable love of life that touched all who knew him. His passions included animals and art, both of which brought him great happiness and reflected his gentle and creative spirit. He worked for Goodwill for 25 years and made many, many friends throughout those years. Donald loved being in Special Olympics and loved to bowl. He was on leagues for years and years. He treasured his family and was known for his kind heart, compassion, and the genuine affection he extended to others. He was born to Jim and Regina Weeden, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jon Weeden, and his sister, Sharlene Haveman. Donnie is survived by his brother and caregiver, Jim Weeden; his sisters, Sharron Hahn, Gena Hange, and Barb Weeden; and his brother-in-law's, Pete Hange and Cy Haveman. Donnie also had many nieces and nephews whom he thought the world of and loved watching grow up—he got to see so much of their lives. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Living with Down syndrome throughout his life, Donnie demonstrated courage, resilience, and an unwavering joyful spirit. His legacy is one of love, acceptance, and the enduring beauty of a life well lived. Donald Dude, YOU Will Be Missed!!
