Alton (Buddy) Goodwin went to be with the lord on February 5th, 2026. Buddy passed away at home peacefully and surrounded by love. Buddy was born on May 12th, 1969 in Plant City, Florida.

Buddy is preceded in death by his mother Ruby Bryan Goodwin, his father Alton Goodwin Jr., 2 daughters Brianna and Autumn Goodwin and 1 son Danny Wadlinger.

Buddy is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 12 years Ashley Luckey Goodwin, 2 sisters Lisa Grammer of Lakeland Florida and Gina Ruddell of Wiersdale Florida, 3 sons Ashton and Tristin Goodwin and Austin Mondello, 3 nieces Taylor Ruiz, Lauren Easley, and Brittany Easley, 3 nephews Chase Humphries, Chaz Kirksey, and Kevin Steckbaur, 3 great nieces and 4 great nephews. 

Buddy worked as a welder and loved to play the guitar. Buddy had a smile that would light up a whole room and a great sense of humor and had the kindest heart and such a free spirit. To know Buddy was to love him and everybody that knew him loved him right back. Buddy will be greatly missed by many, but his legacy will live on in everyone that knew and loved him.
