Sherry Strath, 82 of Colorado Springs passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026.
She was born on October 25, 1943, in Chicago to Thelma Grygial and Bill Rash. Sherry grew up on hard times but overcame them. As she grew up, she became a strong, independent women. She carried herself with strength, grace, and a quiet resilience that touched everyone who knew her.
Sherry had five children whom she loved, and she loved them very differently. For they are all their own individuals. Each of her children gave something that the others couldn't give and she knew that, and that was ok with her. Sherry had 14 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
As we grow, we go through different phases in life, we need different things, different people Throughout her life, Sherry experienced deep love and companionship. She was proceeded in death by her husbands, whom she loved, each very differently.
Sherry will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and the way she made others feel welcomed and cared for. She had a gentle spirit when needed but sure could get feisty. We all knew both sides to the women we called Mom, Gram, GG, Sister, and Aunt.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Memorial Services will take place at The Springs Funeral Services 1:00PM, Saturday, March 21, 2026.
