Polly St. Martin, age 69, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born June 25, 1956, in Saint Paul and adopted along with her siblings by Beatrice and Lester Asfeld.
A kind and compassionate soul, Polly lived with a deep passion for peace and kindness. She found happiness in the simple beauty of life----spending time with family, cheering for her favorite football team, the Vikings, casting a line while fishing, and listening to the Beatles. A devoted fan of Judge Judy and black and white movies. Polly's kind but quick wit and humor brightened every room she entered.
Her traditions for family gathering became treasured moments, woven into the fabric of her family's story---reminders of love, laughter, and togetherness she valued most.
Polly's gentle spirit, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and the greatness she seen in everyone will never be forgotten.
Polly is survived by her 4 children; Larry (Erikka) McAdoo, Patrick (Jennifer) McAdoo, Eric Heaney, and Elizabeth Heaney; Grandchildren; Cheyenne, Bailey, Jordan, Siera, Gavin, Mikayla, Aiden, Hailee, Maya, and Chev, along with 4 Great Grandchildren, Long time boyfriend James Siedel, Siblings Joan, Patricia, Betsy, Joy, John, and Jadwin. Many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Beatrice Asfeld (Weschcke), Lester Asfeld and older brother Jeffrey along with dear friends Sandy and Jean.
Before retiring Polly took great pride in taking care of her mother before she died. Polly cared for her mother for 12 years in her own home and was honored to do so.
Visitation will be held on March 20, 2026 from 2-4 pm at the Sandberg Funeral Home in North St. Paul with burial the following day at Acacia Park Cemetery at 2 pm in Mendota Heights to be buried next to her parents and brother.
