Dianne Wellman, aged 80, passed away on March 1, 2026, in Englewood,FL. Born on May 18, 1945, Dianne's vibrant spirit and zest for life left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Dianne graduated from Jackson High School in 1963 and was committed to lifelong learning, taking various classes throughout her life for both personal and professional enrichment. She spent many years working in the medical field, where she was cherished for her dedication and warmth, especially noted during her time at the front office for Dr. Philip Riley.
Known for being the life of the party and always ready to laugh, Dianne embraced life adventures with open arms. She celebrated her 50th birthday by skydiving, marking just one of the many fearless moments of her life. Dianne, alongside her loving husband of 43 years, Steve Wellman, traveled extensively across the United States and abroad, often flying themselves to new destinations in their airplane or exploring the country on their motorcycle. Their shared passion for dance saw them as regulars on the dance floor, where they were part of a dance club and danced together as long as they could.
Dianne's love extended deeply to her family and friends, and she was a devoted animal lover. She is survived by her husband, Steven Wellman; daughter Tracie Horabin and spouse Anthony; daughter Wendy Tyslenko; stepson Justin Wellman and his wife Heather; stepson Ryan Wellman and his wife Susan; and her cherished grandchildren: Tyler, Sophia, Charlotte, Lillian, and Robby. She also held a special bond with her brother Gary Watters and his wife Sue. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Stanley Watters, and her in-laws, Robert and Josephine Wellman.
A memorial or life celebration will be held in Michigan, with details to be announced. Dianne’s memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she touched with her joy, compassion, and unwavering spirit of adventure.
