Dolores E. Jackson, 88, of Fruitland passed away March 1, 2026 while in St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Dolores was born July 24, 1937 in Emmett, ID to Heber and Beulah Beutler. She graduated from New Plymouth High School. After high school she attended BYU graduating with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In 1960, she met her future husband, Boyd Jackson, on an arranged double blind date. After a short courtship, Dolores and Boyd were married in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 10, 1960. Dolores taught elementary school at several locations but spent most of her career as a 3rd grade teacher in Fruitland. She retired from teaching at Fruitland after many years. While teaching, she earned her masters degree in education and she also served many capacities in the local and state associations for education.
Dolores was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Beuter, her sisters, Louis Ann Gill, Joyce Kinnear, and Darlene Little, and daughters Debrah and Brenda Jackson. Dolores is survived by her children, Darron and Juliet Jackson, Carie Jackson and Sandra and Don Wheeler; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fruitland, ID. The funeral services will be held at 10 am followed by a graveside service at Park View Cemetery in New Plymouth.
